Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water for the simple syrup
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
Optional Garnishes
  • Lemon slices
  • Fresh mint
  • Fresh berries

Method
 

  1. Combine the sugar and 1 cup of water in a saucepan and heat until the sugar dissolves. Let the simple syrup cool.
  2. Juice the lemons and strain out any seeds.
  3. In a large pitcher, mix the lemon juice, cooled simple syrup, and 4 cups of cold water.
  4. Taste and adjust the sweetness or tartness as needed.
  5. Chill for at least 1 hour.
  6. Serve over ice with lemon slices and fresh mint.
